The hotel is old world charm, classic, beautiful and clean. Impeccable service from reception to service staff. The room was comfortable and big enough for our family , really enjoyed the bar stocked with complimentary drinks and fresh fruit.
Just a more welcoming, historical hotel and better value for the money overall. I had wanted to visit this Schloss for a very long time as I was interested in its connection to Queen Victoria. We were not able to book online as their website was not working properly,so I had to call to make the reservation, but at the time the lady could not give me the online discount. Luckily, a nice woman with dark hair at the reception the next day was able to sort this out for us. Review tags are currently only available for English language reviews.

The dinner and the service in the bar was excellent - though a little pricey. Wallanlagen park follows the site of Frankfurt's medieval city walls (removed in the early 1800s.) I found it a delightful oasis of calm after the crowds and traffic of the Altstadt and Innenstadt. The green space is dotted with sculptures, small ponds, trees, fountains and benches. The southern edge of the park follows the Main River , with river boats, ducks and swans. Park paths are paved, easy for bikers, skaters and strollers. There are occasional cafes along the edges if you want an ice cream or coffee.
The next morning was the same when we ran into staff who barely acknowledged us which was a little off putting. However, the Schloss itself is beautiful and our room was lovely as were the grounds. I loved the traditional decor not being a fan of the cookie cutter modern designs all hotels seem to have these days. Suitable for outdoor activities and house activities, as garden slippers, as home slippers.

Fantastic for running outside to get mails etc, a quick trip to store, to mailbox or walk dog, or walk outside in the early morning dew even in rain, snow, cold weather. We recently stayed two nights in this legendary castle hotel, one very unique living experience during our grand European tour. The highlight of our stay was Lars the manager and Shobin. Lars actually smiled at us and gave us a very informative tour of the hotel. He pointed out some very interesting facts, for example the room between two floors. He worked in the restaurant and was very friendly and welcoming.

You could tell he cared for the guests and went out of his way to help them. He made us feel very welcome and made our anniversary stay special.
